Bottle Wars

We may have lost many of the battles with Jackson learning to take a bottle, but it seems we've won the war. Thanks to Nuk, mommy can now detach baby for a minutes. Thank goodness, since daycare starts in four weeks. The grandmas can rest easy!

It was the best of mornings and the worst of mornings

Today was a tough day to get up and get going. I was lucky enough to have a beautiful morning when I took Jersey out.

Then I was also reminded of what I had to leave behind to head off to work in the morning.

And so there is where you find the dilema. I tell you, I thought with some time it would get easier to leave Ashley and Jackson in the morning but that is simply not the case.

"Remember every minute of this I tell you right now. It goes fast, don't sleep and don't waste a second of it. Cause before you know it, it's done. Nothing but memories."

A whole new world

Ashley gave me the 1st and 2nd best christmas presents ever this year. Jackson is all the gift anyone could ever ask for. But then Ashley went and got me the iPhone. I am writing this post from my new phone! Below are some pics of the snow and of JW.

Catching up on the last few days

Jackson's first foot prints....

The time had to come for us to say goodbye to all of the wonderful people at Fair Oaks hospital. This was our last couple of minutes in our room before going home. This is his final outfit from the hospital.

Jersey and Jackson "getting to know one another" with a little referee supervision from dad.
This is as close as you can get to Captain Gingersnap without risking bodily harm. It appears that Jackson and Snaps have agreed to co-exist.

Mom had no idea that this picture was going down (or being posted). These two guys are out for the count......

Little Jackson getting ready for the big first sponge bath... he had no idea what was about to happen. He made it through with flying colors.... not a single cry.

He is being such a little trooper here. He had dreams of swimming the 50 freestyle running through his little head.

Carrie as about excited as they come.

Mike chilling out with Jackson.

Carrie and Mike were so nice and brought us some dinner!! We got to eat and rest while they played with Jackson.

After an exciting afternoon seeing Great Granny Laughlin, we came home and Gram brought us dinner and helped us to get things back together around the house.

We really can't put into words how great everyone has been. Our family and friends continue to blow us away with their kindness and generosity. We are so lucky to be surrounded with such amazing people. Thank you all for everything that you do, it is something we will never forget.

More from the hospital

Below is the grouping of some of the wonderful flower arrangements that we have received. Again we are touched by how caring and thoughtful everyone has been.

Jackson decided that he wanted to take a break from it all. Below he has his little hand mitts on and is dreaming about clean diapers.
